Nikos Petropoulos Senior starts trading olives grown by local farmers in the village market places of The Messian Region of The Southern Peleponnese and the seeds of the business are sown.

Theodoros Petropoulos founds the family business and starts processing and packing olives for distribution all over Greece and beyond in a post-war era when olives were virtually unknown outside of The Mediterranean Basin.

Nikos Petropoulos Junior builds the current facility in Avlonas and starts exporting olives to major International markets gaining recognition for the quality and consistency of the olives and olive oil.

HELENA FOODS is born.
